‘Nicolo Isouard’ Commemorative Coin
The Central Bank of Malta has issued the second coin, in a series commemorating distinguished Maltese personalities. Most of the personalities lived during the last two centuries and have distinguished themselves in professional, cultural, artistic and social area, as well as other National importance.
This
second coin in the series honours the memory of ‘Nicolo
Isouard’, a renowned Maltese composer who reaped honour for himself and
his native country even beyond the shores of Malta.
The
reverse side of the coin, shows the coat of arms of the Republic of Malta, while
the obverse of this coin, shows the portrait and name of ‘Nicolo
Isouard’ (1775-1818) with the word Kompositur.
